Re: Echeveria colorata v. lindsayana??

Holá Leo,

a very colorful extension of your collection! This species is a wonderful plant and should be hardy in Spain. "Unfortunately" (for you ;-)) is it a summergrowing plant and in Spain you have the most rain in winter. So it needs protection from the rain in winter and a lot of water from May to September.
The name "lindsayana" is a Synonym of Echeveria colorata. The whole complex is variabel and only the slim-leaved form brandtii is accepted.

Re: Echeveria colorata v. lindsayana??

There are Echeveria colorata fa colorata (which includes E. lindsayana) and E. colorata fa brandtii.

And in fact we can only be sure whether the name is correct when we see the flowers ....
