Re: Echeveria "rosea" ?

Hi Paul,

because of the short pedicels it is no Echeveria rosea. The species has sitting flowers. So I think its Echeveria ´Golden Towers´.

Re: Echeveria "rosea" ?

"Echeveria ´Golden Towers" = ? X ? = Golden Towers = for me ?

On Google I found : 'Golden Towers' Echeveria = E. pittieri x diffractens

Its right?

Re: Echeveria "rosea" ?

La première plante est un hybride, ce n'est pas E. pittieri.

Je ne sais pas si la parenté indiquée pour 'Golden Towers' soit correcte. Il faudrait faire ce croisement de nouveau.

Re: Echeveria "rosea" ?

For me, E. ´Golden Towers´ seems to be a hybrid with Echeveria rosea because of the yellow flowers and the long, narrow sepals. None of the mentioned parents have this remarkable colour or these sepals. If E. diffractens is the other parent......... I don´t know.

Re: Echeveria "rosea" ?

As I said, unless someone re-makes the crossing we will never be sure.
But I agree with Stefan, I cannot think that E. rosea is not involved.

There is a clear description of E. pittieri on the ICN site which can be compared.

Re: Echeveria "rosea" ?

Paul, la mienne (celle que tu m'avais donnée lors de ma visite chez toi)  fleuri chaque année !

E. rosea ou "Golden Towers", peu importe, elle est bien jolie !
