Re: Echeveria ID? uit Bolivië

Only 3 Bolivian Echeveria species have been published as yet, your plant does not correspond with any of these descriptions. So if it is really a plant with habitat data, it will probably be a yet undescribed species. It should best be distributed with the indication where it has been found.

Re: Echeveria ID? uit Bolivië

The person who distributed this echeveria told us it would be a new echeveria from near Cochabamba, Bolivia. He gave the name 'Bronze Flush' spec. nov.

He distributed 2 other echeveria from the same neighbourhood  but they did not flower.

Cochabamba ? I suggest Echeveria bakeri.

Re: Echeveria ID? uit Bolivië

I do not think it is  E. bakeri.

See the description:
http://www.crassulaceae.com/botanik/pfl … A&gnr=1610

"Plant usually a single rosette, entirely glabrous."  My plant is not glabrous and is offsetting easily.

Also the form and the colour of the flowers is different.

Re: Echeveria ID? uit Bolivië

Sorry, I meant glaucous not glabrous. The leaves of my plant are not covered with powder at all.

Re: Echeveria ID? uit Bolivië

And who will describe it, Mieke ? And where will it be published ?
It is unlikely that the name "Bronze Flush" would be accepted as a species name. This is the kind of name given to cultivars.  Looking at your plant it does not seem very appropriate either ....

Re: Echeveria ID? uit Bolivië

You can find more information:
http://forum.crassulaceae.ch/old/crassu … ml?id=2718

I became my plants from the same person at the same time.  At that time the echeverias looked very simular but they are not all the same species.
